About

Dr Adebiyi holds DVM and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. As a visiting Fulbright Fellow at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University, Ithaca, USA she investigated the role of adenosine receptor subtypes in regulating the differentiation, migration, and maturation of oligodendrocytes in models of multiple sclerosis under Dr Margaret Bynoe. Also, she explored how neuronal activity modulates the differentiation and migration of oligodendrocyte precursor cells following demyelination as a BrainsCAN Tier I Postdoctoral Associate at the Translational Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, Western University, London, Ontario (under Drs Tim Bussey, Lisa Saskida & Ravi Menon).

Myelin in Neurodegenerative and Neurotoxic Disorders (Mynnd) lab
The Mynnd lab investigates novel compounds and approaches that could promote remyelination in demyelinating diseases, understand how demyelination/remyelination contributes to changes in brain network connectivity and transgenerational exposure to emerging contaminants “forever chemicals” in animals as risk factors for demyelination/ neurodegenerative disorders.
Openings available at Postdoctoral  and graduate levels
